Violin: 4/4 Made Exclusively for First National Institute of Allied Arts, made in Germany. FNIAA was an organization based in Los Angeles, CA from the ’20’s thru the ’40’s that imported violins from Europe to be sold along with music lessons they provided. This violin is in excellent condition throughout, free of cracks, with beautiful antique finish in near mint condition. Nice straight grain top, flame maple neck, ribs and back, with original ebony tailpiece and pegs and bakelite chinrest. Heel of neck has beautiful ebony cap. Great warm tone, volume and balance. In original hard case with “First National Institute of Violin” metal label. Rury Violins in Dallas has one for $3,375.00 and Classic Violins in Illinois has one for $2,950.00 Their descriptions state normal wear, this one is near mint. 2500.00
